Hummus is an easy to make, protein-packed, healthy snack! Try my favorite version of this super versatile and delicious food; my Spicy Roasted Red Bell Pepper Hummus! It’s great as an appetizer dip for tortilla chips, bagel chips and vegetables, as a sandwich spread (think roll-up sandwiches with veggies & sprouts – Yum!) or thinned with a little olive oil to make a salad dressing (even pasta salad).
Hummus packs and travels well, making it great for boxed lunches or picnics. It can be made in either a food processor or a blender and only takes about 15 minutes to make!
If you don’t have a gas stove top for roasting the red bell pepper you can roast it under the broiler or simply buy a jar of roasted red bell peppers.
