We ♥ Quinoa!! A delicious & guilt-free way to eat pizza every night! Quinoa is Gluten-Free and a great, plant-based, complete protein source, touting all 9 essential amino acids! This is one of my favorite ways to incorporate quinoa into my meal planning and SO easy and fun to make! The combination of the slightly nutty quinoa crust, the sweet caramelized onions and the pear is an amazing bite.
You can top this crust with any of your favorite pizza toppings. To the left you’ll see a more traditional quinoa crust pizza I made using a store bought pizza sauce, tomatoes, red onions, fresh basil, mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Delicious!!
This recipe and directions serves two adults nicely with 3 slices of pizza each. If you find yourself in the unlikely situation of having left-overs, the pizza keeps well in the fridge for a day or two and reheats well in the microwave.
